Gift from a friend.

by Michele

A little over a week ago, a friend sent us a gift for getting our LOA.  I thought they were the cutest T-shirts so I wanted to share them and I will definitely be putting my girls in these.  She got them off of in case you were looking for some adoption themed shirts.  Thanks Katie and Joel.

Congrats on your beautiful twins! I saw your comment on Nancy’s Ordinary Miracles blog and I wanted to make sure you joined the adoptcleft yahoo group. They have been wonderful support and a great source of cleft related information for us. You will find many other folks with older children needing their cleft surgery once they arrive home.

BTW Check to see if your state department of health has a cleft palate clinic where they coordinate all the specialists needed to treat your girls. Maybe a large hosiptal in your state runs one, ours is run by the VT Dept of Health.

    • Thanks Gina. I will definitely check out the yahoo group.

As for the medical side, we are working on which hospital will be the best for our girls. We have several very good options in the Twin Cities which would have all the specialists we need. However, that’s about an hour to an hour and half drive. Definitely doable, just less convenient.
