Our New Graduate

by Michele

I realize it is only preschool, but Luke had his ceremony last night at Hansel and Gretel.  He was so excited to go and so proud to be moving on to kindergarten.  He actually got over some of his shyness and sang some of the songs at the concert. His favorite song was about McDonalds, Pizza Ranch, KFC, Taco Bell, Wendy’s and Red Lobster.  And what pre-schooler doesn’t like fast food?  He’s been practicing this one so much at home that even Ryan was able to do the motions and sing along during Luke’s concert.

I thought he looked cute in his little cap and gown – in a very grown up/graduate sort of way, of course.  But afterwards when I wanted to take some pictures, Luke decided the candy he got as a present was more important then having a great smile.  So in all of my pictures Luke’s mouth is stuffed with a fist full of Starbursts. Oh well, happy kid – happy mom.  Maybe we’ll do a double helping of veggies tomorrow…

About tochinaandbackagain

I am a stay at home mom to two very active boys and soon we will bring home two Chinese twin girls with cleft lip and palate issues. I spend my day trying to be the best parent and wife I can be with God leading the way.
