Trip to Grandma’s farm

by Michele

We have had a few bad nights in a row so my energy and patience levels are dangerously low.  Because of the bad nights, Jenna and Quinn seem to be crying a lot more but we are not able to get them to sleep more.  The tantrums are taking a tole on Ryan and Luke too.  Ryan joins in with the girls and Luke just gets really mad.  Yesterday our boys got a break and went out to Grandma Janett’s house for the afternoon.  We had to pick them up after nap time so it was our girls’ first trip to Grandma’s farm.  We started out good.  When the girls saw all of the chickens they got really excited.  Luke and Ryan were very excited to show off all of the animals too.

After that we went for a golf cart ride to the garden.  On the way, we stopped by a tree soon to be my favorite because it has Honey Crisp apples.  We ate one, it might have needed a little more time but it was still really good.

We then went out to get some corn in the garden.  Miss Quinn had a blast.  She was running as fast as her little legs could carry her.  Anything to keep up with Luke and Ryan in the exploring of all the corn rows.  I lost sight of her for a little bit but she was with Luke so I knew she was safe.

Quinn is a very busy body and must get her hands into everything that her brothers are doing.

She is as content as can be exploring new things.  She was smiling the whole time; however, when I get the camera in her face to get a close up she does get a bit annoyed.

Jenna on the other hand…..

…….is not a farm girl.  She does not do well in new settings, but I know she is just trying to get my attention because 1 min later I got this…

We ended the visit with a few races.  Luke and Ryan wanted me to take some pictures of them while they were running.  Sadly to say, Ryan seems to have inherited the stick-out-your-tongue-when-you-do-anything from Ted.  Oh well, at least it is cute when you are 2.

About tochinaandbackagain

I am a stay at home mom to two very active boys and soon we will bring home two Chinese twin girls with cleft lip and palate issues. I spend my day trying to be the best parent and wife I can be with God leading the way.

Sticking our your tongue when you do your thing seemed to work out very well for Michael Jordan. Maybe Ted is on to something. 😛

ha ha … that looks like Dale and Grandpa Yoder too! 🙂
