Surgery Update #2

-by Michele

Quinn was very busy while she waited her turn.

But eventually her turn came and I walked her back.

She went in around 11.  On the way, one of the nurses said that Jenna was just starting to wake up.   They finished her surgery around 10:50.  They said she woke up fighting so they had to knock her out again.  We eventually got to see Jenna, check into our room for the next 3 days.  There is a Ronald McDonald wing here in the hospital which provided free food for the parents of kids recovering so while Ted was holding Jenna while she goes in and out of sleep, I went and got some food for us.  We are now in our room with Jenna and waiting for word on Quinn.  We expect to hear something in the next 1 hr.  I will go down to the recovery room and sit with her while Ted stays with Jenna.  Seeing how Jenna has been this last hour, I don’t expect to get many bathroom breaks today but I guess that is what you get with twin surgeries.

Been following your journey since Gotcha Day and just wanted you to know that my family will keep Jenna and Quinn in our prayers. You and Ted are amazing embracing this difficult surgery so soon and with both of them. Know that when your strength is waning that others are praying for you to keep on the path to recovery. I also hope your friends and family step in and step up to lend a hand without hesitation during the recovery from this experience. God Bless your family. KCDenny
