New Stairs

by Ted

The last several years have not been kind to our cement front steps.  The snow, ice, frost and salt all worked together nicely to chip away at the stairs and make the steps very uneven.  The cement side walk was sloped so that it trapped all the melting snow which would then refreeze on top of the side walk making it very, very slippery.  In addition, the entire side walk had sunk into the ground about 4 to 5 inches making the bottom step about twice as tall as any of the others.  It was basically just an accident waiting to happen.

So it was high time the stairs were replaced and since the snow will be here soon, we decided the time is now – as some of you have already noticed. We hired Jayden’s dad to do the work, and we are really happy with the way things turned out.  Hopefully, they will stand the test of time.
