Luke has always wanted to go on vacation for his birthday, and this year he got his wish. A few weeks ago we went to Camp Omega Day. We got to tour the local camp for free. They had horse carriage rides, canoes, pontoon rides, and archery. My kids had a blast.
They have been talking about Camp Omega for the last 3 weeks, about all of the arrows they got to shoot.
While there, they had a drawing for 1/2 off camp price. My dad actually won and decided to take the boys to a weekend Kindercamp. And it just so happens that the camp fell on Luke’s birthday. So Luke gets his wish of going to camp on his birthday. We just dropped him off, they even sang to him during opening ceremony. He had such a big smile on his face. So for the next few days, Luke will be doing things like this with Grandpa.
But because he was gone on his birthday, we had his party last weekend. We always have a theme and this year he chose Legos. So we started the party by having the kids build their own Lego car and race it down the track.
This was followed by a treasure hunt where we hid bags of Lego men.
to win the game.
We then had a Lego pinata.
Followed by a build your own taco, then a Lego cake.
Can you sense there was a lot of building of Legos and things? To top it all off, I think everyone got the message to buy him Legos so there was a lot of Lego presents.
