We finished our vacation almost a month ago yet I still have not finished posting about it. Getting all of our new schedules of school, preschool, speech therapy has kept me very busy. Well, back to the vacation….in our random search on the internet, we found a free water skiing show. There is not much you can do for free these days so I told Ted we should go. Ted did not have high hopes however we did find out that the Janesville Rockets are one of the most national awarded competing teams.
By the end of the show, Ted was ready to sing praises. They did a lot of different things like, barefoot skiing, jumping, flips, etc. It was a lot of fun to see what they were going to do next. They ended the show with I think a 42 people pyramid.
From there we left to see an old Swiss village. There was a guided tour which we didn’t know how our kids would take to it but it actually worked really nice. We got there early so we were the only ones on our tour. The tour guide would actually open up all of the locked areas so we could see everything up close. I don’t think I have ever been on a tour like that before.
We tried to stop our kids from touching too much stuff but that didn’t always happen. Our boys actually got to pretend to make cheese using all of the old utensils including moving this very large pot over the fire. Ted was again skeptical of one of the places I wanted to go. He was trying to figure out how our little kids would like looking at very old things but it turned out great and I think our kids had a lot of fun.
From here we went to a cave. Ryan was scared to death. He did not want to go underground. We tried to reassure him that he would be ok. We started the tour and he was clingy very clingy until he saw what it looked like in the cave. Then he was fine. I think he rather enjoyed it.
Our last stop on our trip was a town really close to the cave. They had some trolls hidden around town and we had to go around with a map and find them. They had just gotten a new troll and our kids really liked this one.
