Christmas Concert with a Shy Kid

Ryan is a very animated child who loves to sing and dance but only in the privacy of his own home.  If anyone dare talk to him, he runs and clings to my legs.   Last year we sent Ryan to pre-school early to see if that would help him with the transition of bring home Jenna and Quinn and from realizing that there is a world outside of mommy.  Last Christmas was his first concert, do you remember what happened?  This should remind you….

He never made it onto the stage.  Hopes for this year were pretty low especially since he informed his teacher and us that he was not going to go up there.  So how did he do?

You see that really tall boy over on the right, the one that sticks up about a half of a head taller then all of the others.  Yeap that’s my boy and yes he is in the right age group for school and no we do not give him steroids.  The teacher held his hand so that he wouldn’t shy away and promised him that he could stand by his best friend, Claire (that is the beautiful little girl who has befriended Ryan).  We were really impressed until the music started and everyone started to sing.  Ryan started to slowly inch off to his left (the right of the picture) until….this

Yeap, now do you see him, the really tall boy who is too tall to hid completely behind the pulpit?

That’s my boy.

About tochinaandbackagain

I am a stay at home mom to two very active boys and soon we will bring home two Chinese twin girls with cleft lip and palate issues. I spend my day trying to be the best parent and wife I can be with God leading the way.
