A few 365 photos that haven’t found a post yet

Most of my daily photo challenges have made it into other posts but there are a few that have not so I thought I would just throw some random ones out there.

Last month Luke decided he wanted to be big like daddy … he wanted to mow the lawn by himself.  It proved to be a bit hard then it looked but he tried. IMG_0900

We are going through the alphabet for pictures right now.  Last week we had the letter C which just so happened to be around the time Luke ran his first Cross-Country race (again no bonus points for double letters in photography club).  Our high school team had a meet in town and they had the little kids do a fun run before they ran so we signed Luke up.  He loves running.  He did pretty good at the race too.  He had to run a 1 K and his time was 4 min 47 seconds.   I know when he ran the mile at school he got 8 min 36 seconds.  That is probably faster than I can run right now and he is only 7.  IMG_1068

Back in September we went to a corn maze which the kids had a blast in.  I was really impressed.  It took us a while to get out of it and we almost gave up and tried to find our way back out the front but we didn’t.  We finally made it out. IMG_0876

They also had a few blow up jumping things there.  I thought it was hilarious that one of the blow up toys was a giant caterpillar.  They went in the mouth and came out the butt.  Kids loved it. IMG_0886

The only other big random news around here is that Ryan started taking communion. We finally decided it was time when just about every day he leads Jenna and Quinn in a prayer asking Jesus into their hearts and asking for help to live the way Jesus wants them too.  Ted asked him a few questions about communion and Ryan was able to explain everything about it so…it was time.  Ryan has been waiting for this day for a long time because he wants to be like big brother Luke and all the other youth group members who take communion.
